Who are our audience?

We have researched in to other artists that are similar to the idea we have for our artist. Basing our research on genre, we have found that these three artists all come under the genre of R&B Pop with various other sub-genres including soul, funk and rhythm and blues. In order (Jessie Ware, Jessie J, Rita Ora). They all have an edgy urban style and are from London just like our artist!

We took a look at all 3 artists websites and fansites taking in to account that Rita Ora and Jessie J are much more mainstream and therefore have larger and more varied audiences. This article about Jessie Ware from The Observer presents her are somebody who wants her fans to be able to relate to, she talks about normal everyday situations that normal people come across. Her core audience seem to be young females who can relate to where she is from, her style and life experiences. They are inspired by who she is and what she has achieved.
