Examining real artists digipaks
This is the digipak for Rihanna.
Rihanna's digipak for her album 'Loud' is consistent with the colour scheme; red. Rihanna has red hair, red lipstick and red roses on her three inside panels. The name of the album 'Loud' is bigger tan the artists name, which is unusual as this is breaking the conventions. The white font colour is good as it stands out, however it could have been bolder to make it stand out even more. The close ups of Rihanna's face on the front panel is simple but nice. The inside panels are also simple but nice, the image stretches across all three panels and fits in nicely with the theme Rihanna has chosen.
This is the digipak for Nicole Scherzinger.
Nicole's digipak for her album 'Killer Love' also has a colour scheme that works really well; the colours compliment each other well and look really nice. The artists name is bigger than the album name, following the conventions. The picture of Nicole on the front cover is simple but nice and the layout works well. The back panel is also really nice, the layout is nice and the black font of the song list compliments Nicole's hair colour. It follows the conventions of a digipak as it has a barcode, record label etc.
